Meet people, build community, and find more ways to connect to Jewish life.
Your Jewish community, your way
Whether you’re new to San Diego or have lived here for years, there are plenty of ways to meet people, get involved and build a Jewish community that feels like your own.
Jewish Federation of San Diego brings young adults together through social events, leadership opportunities, immersive experiences and connections to Jewish life here in San Diego, Israel and around the world.
Meet Mosaic
A community for Jewish young adults ages 25–40
Mosaic was created to make it easier for Jewish young adults across San Diego to find one another, build relationships and create the kinds of Jewish community they want to be part of.
From Shabbat dinners and outdoor activities to social events and conversations, Mosaic offers different ways to connect throughout the year. Many gatherings are created and hosted by members themselves, giving young adults a real role in shaping the community.
See what’s happening on the Mosaic website and app, or learn more about how Mosaic and Federation are building Jewish community together.
Spend a month, a semester or a year living, learning, working or volunteering in Israel.
Masa Israel Journey offers gap year, study abroad, internship, volunteer and Jewish studies programs for young adults from around the world. Federation offers subsidies for eligible San Diego participants to help make these longer-term Israel experiences more accessible.
Funding is available on a first-come, first-served basis while funds remain.
National Young Leadership Cabinet is Jewish Federations of North America’s leadership and philanthropic development program for young adults ready to take on a deeper role in Jewish communal life.
Over five years, Cabinet members build relationships with peers from Jewish communities across North America while participating in leadership development, learning, advocacy and immersive travel.
Participation is by application and includes an annual philanthropic commitment.
Travel can be a meaningful way to experience Jewish life, build relationships and connect with Jewish communities beyond San Diego.
Federation offers opportunities to travel alongside others from the San Diego Jewish community, with experiences that may include Israel and other destinations around the world.
Our next Community Trip to Israel, May 18–25, 2027, is open to adults of all ages, including young adults, with an optional Budapest extension May 26–30.
Additional travel opportunities may be offered throughout the year.
