Global Ambassador Program

Global Ambassador Program

Federation’s Global Ambassador Program offers a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for Jewish teens to connect with their peers from global Jewish communities and San Diego’s sister city, Sha’ar HaNegev, Israel. Whether traveling abroad to explore other global Jewish communities or hosting an exchange here in San Diego, the Global Ambassador Program helps Jewish teens learn about each other’s cultures, create long-lasting friendships, and strengthens their sense of shared responsibility and Jewish peoplehood. Past trips have included: Sofia, Bulgaria and Budapest, Hungary.

My biggest takeaway was how Jewish teens like me have such a different way of practicing and interpreting Judaism. It was incredible to experience Jewish life in a foreign country, like Shabbat, with Jewish teens that were just like me from two other countries.” – GAP Participant

Our upcoming trip in June 2025 will be to Mexico City, Mexico.

This program is highly subsidized by Jewish Federation of San Diego, with very limited spots available each year.
