ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The CPA will be part of the Community Planning team, supporting programs and grants across all of Federation’s areas of work. The Community Planning Associate will support new programming designed around a “Live...Give...Lead” strategy for young adults, to engage young Jewish adults in Jewish life, leadership, community and philanthropy., and will work across departments, in particular with the Teen and Young Adult Program Manager and the Young Adult and Women’s Philanthropy Manager to create and implement programs including LEADS (designed to build Leadership capacity), The Network (designed to encourage philanthropy) and new programs focused on social interaction and engagement with Jewish life. The CPA will also work with the Chief Planning and Strategy officer and the entire CP team to manage Community Planning program grants and provide administrative support for programs and events across all of Federation’s areas of focus.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

RESPONSIBILITIES

Program Support
• Support LEADS program and leadership development of young adults in partnership with Teen and Young Adult Program Manager
• Support the Senior Manager of Young Adult and Women’s Philanthropy in developing and executing a plan for The Network
• Oversee the organization of and recruitment for young adult events to increase involvement in Federation and the greater community through 1:1 meeting, attending community events and social media
• Support the planning and recruitment of the 2023 Community Trip to Israel.

Grants Management
• Grants management for a variety of CP programs, which could include:
o Leadership grants
o Security Grants
o One Happy Camper
o Teen Immersive Experience Grants o Teen Partnership Grants

Administrative
• Directly assist Chief Planning & Strategic Officer (CPSO) in managing complex calendaring and communication
• Admin and logistical support for the community planning department including meetings and events, will require working occasional nights and weekends to support these efforts
• Organize CP processes and reporting
• Backup for other office admin

EXPERIENCE. KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
• Minimum of 2 years of professional related experience (e.g. event planning, grant management, leadership development)
• Commitment to working collaboratively with staff and community partners towards Federation’s vision, and mission
• Demonstrated experience managing and completing multiple projects, conduct research and disseminate information
• Ability to focus on building, strengthening, and maintaining existing and new collaborations/relationships. Strong team player
• Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgments. Motivated self-starter and self- disciplined with imagination and creativity
• Excellent problem-solving, time management and organizational skills
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, including decision-making, listening to others, be empathic to the community needs and consensus-building
• Strong computer skills

EDUCATION:
Bachelor's degree
Knowledge of Jewish community, customs and traditions preferred
