A new form of Antisemitism is spreading, one that shields itself by using the language of human rights and social justice, directly confronting our community on college campuses, advocacy organizations, and many other places we thought were protected. This phenomenon, which primarily takes the form of Antizionism, has led large swaths of the Jewish community to feel unwelcome and ostracized at a time when antisemitism as a whole is growing exponentially. Join us as we hear from Oren Jacobson, Executive Director of Project Shema, an organization that works with Jewish communities to address left-wing, progressive antisemitism in learning about its roots, its manifestations, and what we can do to confront it.

Featuring Guest Speaker:

Oren Jacobson is a civic entrepreneur, thought leader, and organizer focused on addressing systemic problems. He's the co-founder and Executive Director of Project Shema, which trains and supports the Jewish community and allies to more effectively address contemporary antisemitism, with an emphasis on how anti-Jewish ideas can emerge in progressive spaces, including in discourse around Israel and Palestine. Through this work, he has advised major Jewish institutions and served as a subject matter expert on antisemitism to multinational corporations.
He's the former National Chapter Development Director for the New Leaders Council, where he helped grow NLC into the largest leadership development organization in the progressive movement.
