These programs connect Jewish teens locally and globally, encourages participation in other Jewish programs, and build relationships between Jewish teens to strengthens our Jewish community.
Peer Leaders Fellowship: November 2022 – May 2023
The Peer Leaders Fellowship (PLF) program is a paid fellowship consisting of a select group of Jewish 9th-12th graders who are interested in strengthening the San Diego Jewish community for Jewish teens. PLF’s will participate in training sessions, gain real-life resume building skills, and receive up to $750 for their time and work. Each month PLF’s will be presented with a monthly objective and goals for data collection on a certain topic of focus. PLF’s will receive $750 upon completion of objectives. Topics of focus will include antisemitism, teen mental health and wellness, and topics chosen by the PLF cohort. PLF’s will help our community better understand and serve teens by building and strengthening relationships with their Jewish peers.
Interview: After the application is submitted, PLF applicants will receive information to schedule a 30 minute 1:1 interview which will take place via phone or zoom before October 14, 2022.
Notification: PLF applicants will be notified no later than October 28, 2022

PLF’s are highly encouraged to participate in all of the monthly check-in meetings. If an interested teens knows they will miss more than one meeting they should contact Wendy (information below) before submitting an application.
