Join panelists JESSICA LEMOINE & JENNI ASHER in conversation to better understand the experiences and perspectives of African-American Jews with regard to racism on a personal or systemic level in the Jewish community and the community at large.
JESSICA LEMOINE has a Bachelors in Mathematics and Education plus a Masters in Education and Curriculum. She has taught math for 25 years in San Diego and Connecticut at high schools where she was also faculty advisor or assistant faculty advisor for the Black Student Clubs and Jewish Student Unions. She has led diversity and inclusion leadership training sessions throughout her career.
JENNI ASHER is a mixed black and white Jew by choice. She is currently a cantorial student at the Academy for Jewish Religion, California and is also professional violinist. She holds a Bachelors Degree from the Royal Academy of Music in London and a Masters Degree from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama also in London.
