Starting at Discovery Lake Park in San Marcos, this loop trail combines moderate steepness with restful views. At the top of the 1,644-foot summit, hikers are treated to a spectacular 360-degree view of the North County. A majority of the trail has been affected by wildfires, so don’t expect much shade. The first mile is paved, and then it turns into a rougher single track. Dogs are welcome.
We will be hiking from Discovery Lake to Double Peak Park. We will take a 10 minute break/rest on top of Double Peak park so brink some munchies to eat. Once we are all rested and fed we will head back down to Discover Lake.

This group is for outdoor activities for the Israeli-American and Jewish American community. Join on Sundays for easy to moderate hikes and outings in some of the most beautiful spots in San Diego. Open to all ages, men and women, meeting once a month. Activity will be approximately one to three hours and may be followed by lunch if location and time permits.
