Shabbat with Yiddishland Presentation

5:00PM - 8:00PM

We will start with a presentation about our project to create a museum of Yiddish language and culture, which will be located in San Diego! (5 - 6 pm). Afterward (6 - 8 pm), we will have Shabbat blessings followed by a potluck. Please bring a snack or a drink that can be SAFELY shared with others (for instance, small cans/bottles of wine, string cheese, small packages of chips, fruit). It does not sound as fancy as our usual dinners but better safe than sorry! ;) We will have wine and appetizers ready for you as well.

Though the event is free, a $10-$15 donation to support the Yiddishland project would be very appreciated.

Please keep in mind that this is a socially distanced event and therefore, in-person spots are limited. We would like to remind you that at YAAANA your security and health are a priority for us. For this reason, keep in mind that due to the still ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, it is important to follow these simple recommendations. Ensure you are fit to attend the event and refrain from attending if you have some of the following symptoms: cough, runny nose, shortness of breath, fever (above 37.5oC), and sore throat, OR if you have had recent contact with an active or a suspect case. Practice good personal hygiene, (e.g. proper handwashing, proper disposal of waste, covering your mouth & nose when coughing or sneezing) Avoid physical contact (e.g. handshakes), avoid touching your face.
