Jewish Director on the Rise: Becca Roth
San Diego Jewish Film Festival
Co-Presented with CJC In The Mix
In the wake of legalization of gay marriage in her home state of New York, filmmaker Becca Roth is plagued by the fact that the majority of states in America currently have constitutional amendments banning gay marriage, including every single state in The South. Except one, North Carolina. One: A Story of Love and Equality is Becca’s first feature-length documentary, and the most meaningful project she’s ever embarked on.
Along with screening the film, Becca will share about her journey to North Carolina with her girlfriend Melina and how her Jewish heritage influenced the film making process.
