Food has always been a uniting component of the Jewish culture and tradition. Temple Adat Shalom, therefore, is inviting the San Diego community to have a taste of the many delicious Jewish culinary offerings at the 2015 San Diego Jewish Food Festival on April 19. Experience homemade comfort foods such as potato latkeskugel, blintzes, corned beef and pastrami sandwiches, scrumptious rugalach and mandelbrot, and, of course, New York cheese cakes.e the many booths, explore the traditional Jewish cooking and taste the foods eaten at the many festive Jewish holidays.

In addition to flavorsome treats, versatile talented San Diego singers and musicians will perform a medley of traditional and contemporary Jewish music, ranging from top vocalists, duets and musical groups playing all your favorite Jewish tunes. Klezmer music, children’s activities, a fabulous silent auction, an opportunity drawing and sanctuary tours create an outstanding, cultural event for the entire family.

Back again by popular demand will be Ron Oliver, Chef de Cuisine at The Marine Room, who will be joined by other renowned local chefs to offer cooking demonstrations, which are not to be missed. See for yourself how easy it is to make these unusual and exotic dishes.

Vendors are coming from as far north as Los Angeles and Orange County; San Diego vendors will be represented as well all displaying everything from Judaica to jewels, fashions to fitness, books to beauty, purses with pizzazz to pottery.
