I am pleased to announce that we will be offering an 8-week choir series of the San Diego Jewish Community Choir, which will run from Wednesday, January 13th through Wednesday, March 4. The sessions will run from 7-8:15 pm. NO PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE REQUIRED.
Since we must still hold choir on Zoom, we are modifying our sessions to accommodate the fact that simultaneous singing on Zoom is not possible (and does require muting). We will begin with a voice lesson followed by singing Jewish music in various genres and wrapping up with a brief Jewish music education presentation. We will learn about some of the composers whose music we are singing as well as various musical genres, all of which I hope you will find exciting and interesting.
At 8:15, those of you who wish to stay on with us for some socializing are welcome to do so.
Although we very much look forward to the day when we can all meet together in person, we hope that you will enjoy this opportunity to meet and sing beautiful Jewish music! We are limiting the program to 8 sessions and see how well it goes.
Anyone is welcome to join in the fun even if they don't live in San Diego and even if they have no previous singing or choral experience, so please feel free to invite others you think may be interested.
If you are interested in joining us for this musical endeavor, the cost will be $59 per HOUSEHOLD. This series is being run through the San Diego Outreach Synagogue.
