Lend a hand to an older adult in need! Volunteer to help beautify the home of a lovely older woman in Clairemont. She came to JFS by way of the Fix-It Service which provides no-cost minor home safety modifications to seniors throughout San Diego County. This grant funded program typically provides items like shower grab bars, new doorbells, and smoke detectors to help older adults remain at home safely. There is tremendous need however for services beyond this limited scope for things like painting, gardening, and home maintenance that older adults often struggle with. That's where you come in!

Operation Curb Appeal was a huge success last year and we look forward to making a positive impact on someone’s life again this year. Volunteer to help this member of our community by donating a few hours of your time to paint the front of her home, pull weeds, build some flower beds, and gardening that will really make the difference in her life. We are not going to be doing any heavy lifting or major construction here, and we welcome all skill levels.

Join the Emerging Leaders at JFS by joining in and giving up a few hours on a Sunday in exchange for a lifetime of appreciation from this neighbor in need. RSVP at
