NALA is a grassroots Israeli nonprofit called fighting against Neglected Tropical Diseases in developing countries.
Although the San Diego branch has only been around for a couple months, Israel has been working with impoverished people in Ethiopia for the past 15 years, fighting Neglected Tropical Diseases.
In recent months, there has been civil unrest in Northern Ethiopia, displacing over 1 million people without any essential resources (i.e water, hygiene products, food etc). NALA, in partnership with 2 other humanitarian Israeli organizations, have been able to provide these essentials to those in need.
All members of the general public are invited to attend a worldwide panel discussion on the Ethiopian Humanitarian disaster and response being provided by Israeli organizations.
