Women have been active in jazz since its inception. From the 1920s razz-ma-tazz of Hollywood ingenues to the modern stylings of Vi Redd and Mary Lou Williams, all genres of jazz will be showcased on screen. Featuring Corky Hale, Marian McPartland, Ina Ray Hutton, Melba Liston and the International Sweethearts of Rhythm.
