There is a top-notch annual Artisan Festival in the neighborhoods of Del Cerro, Allied Gardens and San Carlos. Last year 50 talented artisans participated presenting their pottery, photography, mosaics, painted gourds, knitted items, fused and blown glass, wood, fabric and paper creations and much more. All the artisans live locally and everything was handcrafted.
There was a constant flow of 300 customers. Many of the artisans returned for their second, third or even fourth year. Each year we attract new talent. Last year there were six artisans whose work had a Judaic theme.
The event is hosted by the Women for Reform Judaism of Temple Emanu-El. Each artisan donated one of their works for an Opportunity Drawing the proceeds of which went entirely toward a college scholarship fund for synagogue students.
Come join us on Sunday, November 1, 2015 and support local art! The event is an indoor, comfortable venue.
