For 4,000 years Jerusalem has been a precious jewel coveted by millions all over the Western world. Today Jews, Muslim, and Christians debate over who should possess it. The Jewish experience of exile has inspired poets to write of its majesty, as in psalm 127, 'If I forget thee, Oh Jerusalem, let my right hand forget her cunning. If I do not remember thee, let my tongue cleave to the roof of my mouth; if I prefer not Jerusalem above my chief joy.' Madrikha Beverly will share stories highlighting the history, culture, and geography of this remarkable site. Join us for a pleasant Sabbath celebration with music, a little ritual activity, and a sharing of Jerusalem memories. An oneg will follow the program.
