15th Annual Interfaith Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service

This remarkable event brings people of different faiths and cultural backgrounds together for a wonderful morning of hands-on community service, fun and fellowship. Families are encouraged to participate together on this day of community work, suitable for all ages. NO PETS PLEASE.

WHERE TO MEET AND PARKING: Meet in Balboa Park at President’s Way, in the first parking lot on the left.

WHAT TO BRING: Water, work gloves, and pruning tools (if possible). Tools will also be provided. Lunch (optional)

WHAT TO WEAR: Long-sleeved shirt, long pants, closed-toe work shoes

SCHEDULE:
9:00 AM – REGISTRATION/CHECK-IN
(same day on-site only) All participants must sign waivers; a legal guardian must sign waivers for children/youth under 18 Youth under 16 must be accompanied by an adult

9:15 AM – OPENING CEREMONY
9:30 AM – CLEAN UP/BEAUTIFICATION AROUND THE AIR & SPACE MUSEUM AND STARLIGHT BOWL.
11:30 AM – COMPLIMENTARY HOT DOGS AND CHIPS, MUSIC BY HULLABALOO
(BEEF, TURKEY, VEGETARIAN/VEGAN).
