Slimed: An oral history of Nickelodeon's Golden Age

9:00PM - 11:00PM

Most anyone who was a kid in the early 1980s—or who raised a kid in the 1980s—remembers what it meant to get slimed on Nickelodeon’s You Can’t Do That on Television. All you had to do was say, “I don’t know,” et voila! The story Mathew Klickstein shares in his book, SLIMED, makes for a fun read that’s also “a serious lesson on the birth of cable television" (Kirkus Reviews). Join the author for a look back at the first all-kids network, focusing on its rowdy start-up days through its golden age. But be sure not to say “I don’t know…” because you never know…

Other guests at this enjoyable event include Michael Bower (Donkey Lips) and Dave Martel who played Big Pete's best friend Teddy on many episodes of Pete and Pete.

Also attending: Phil Moore -- host of Classic Nick show Nick Arcade
