Remember, Honor, and Teach - Holocaust Commemoration Event

On Sunday, April 8, The Jewish Federation of San Diego County will host the annual Yom HaShoah, Holocaust Commemoration event. The program will be held from 1:30- 3pm at the Lawrence Family Jewish Community Center, JACOBS FAMILY CAMPUS.

The theme for this year’s program is 80 Years - From Kristallnacht to Charlottesville. The program will provide valuable insight from Jim McElroy, past chairperson of the Southern Poverty Law Center, and receive a call to action from Rick Barton, board member of the ADL. The commemoration will also include a candle lighting ceremony to honor and remember the six million Jews who perished during the Holocaust as well as our local survivors who we recently lost. There will be a prayer service and a video of local survivors recounting their experience during Kristallnacht.

With our community behind us, we will REMEMBER the victims of the Holocaust, HONOR its survivors, and TEACH future generations. We hope you will join us.
