On Thursday, September 29, more than 1,000 men gathered on the field of the San Diego Jewish Academy to learn more about Federation and the work being done all around the world while enjoying craft beer, burgers, and a night of unforgettable brotherhood.
Federation Board Chair Brian Tauber spoke about the sense of community that Federation creates here in San Diego, for those such as himself who moved here later in life, and for teens looking for ways to give back to our community. He also spoke of Federation’s connection to Israel and the critical work that is done globally in times of need to make sure that no Jew ever feels alone.
The keynote speaker Bret Stephens, who is a Pulitzer-Prize winning journalist for the Wall Street Journal, spoke of what he believed was Israel’s role, along with the United States’ in the Middle East.
The beautiful outdoor setting, BBQ food, meaningful speeches, and camaraderie ensured all had a wonderful time. Thank you to all of those who attended for being a part of our vibrant, caring, connected, and enduring Jewish community.
