Meet the Women's Philanthropy Board: Andrea May Feinswog

Each week we will be introducing you to one of our Federation Women's Philanthropy Board Members.

This week, we wish to introduce you to:

Andrea May Feinswog

Andrea May Feinswog grew up in El Paso and attended the University of Texas at Austin, where she studied English and advertising. She moved to San Diego in 1987 after graduation.

She spent 15 years working as an advertising copywriter. During this time, she worked on the first Red Bull broadcast campaign in the United Statesand wrote radio and print campaigns for the Los Angeles Times. She also worked on the campaign that introduced the world to Kyocera’s first PDA phone.

In 2004, she decided it was time to pursue her own passion and launched Andrea May Hunter Gatherer, an award-winning residential interior design business.

She has three children, David, Alisa and Max, with her husband Ira, a veterinarian. The Feinswog family is very active in the local and global Jewish community and are involved in Jewish Federation of San Diego, Hadassah, Jewish National Fund, Friends of the IDF, AIPAC, as well as the Surfrider Foundation, Coast Keeper, and other organizations.

Andrea is passionate about not only our local community but also cares deeply about the State of Israel.

Previously, she has been involved with the Anti-Defamation League, serving on various committees and participating in the Glass Leadership Institute, as well as on the planning committee of the Defiant Requiem Event as the Marketing Co- Chair.
