The coronavirus pandemic has forced schools, businesses, and most recently, public parks, and yes, even our beloved camps, to close. Parents are facing new challenges as they look for creative ways to entertain, educate, and maintain some semblance of their sanity. Tall order.
As many were scrambling to stockpile toilet paper and supplies, our super-smart partners at Camp Mountain Chai were asking themselves an important question. With kids and parents now sheltering at home, how could they enlist the help of their vast camp community to entertain, engage, and occupy campers at home? Lucky for us, they had an asnwer. Meet Jewish Camp at Home.
In partnership with Foundation for Jewish Camp, Camp Mountain Chai is breaking new ground with their comprehensive virtual camp experience. Their goal? Provide families and kids with some much-needed fun and distraction. From science experiments, to cooking, to Israeli dancing, participants get a daily taste of life at camp—and you guessed it—all from the safe and socially-distant comfort of their home.
The response was immediate, and based on overwhelming demand, Jewish Camp at Home is going national. That means more content, more hours of programming, and more camps participating.
