Jewish Community Rallies with the San Diego Gulls

On April 3, nearly 300 hockey fans from the San Diego Jewish community came together to rally around the local hockey club, the San Diego Gulls.

While the team may have lost, the Jewish community won, as many of the children had the chance to high-five the players as they took the ice, enjoyed a special visit from Gulls mascot Gulliver, and the Gulls staff even went out of their way to offer special, kosher boxed lunches for the Jewish fans in attendance. It was a wonderful opportunity to introduce the community to the city’s new team and come together for a wonderful Sunday afternoon.

The Gulls also donated $882 to Federation, contributing $3 per ticket sale to our Jewish community

We had a great time, we hope the community did as well, and we can’t wait to cheer on our Gulls again next season!

We want to extend a heartfelt thank you to the entire Gulls organization for their hard work and support of our wonderful community.
