Heather Wolfson Returns to Federation

We are delighted to share that Heather Wolfson has returned to Jewish Federation of San Diego.

Many of you already know Heather. She helped shape this community once before through her work at Federation. In the years since, she built Maven Leadership Consulting, which she continues to lead, and has become one of the country’s most trusted leadership coaches and facilitators. Many of the women who have participated in our Pauline Foster Women’s Leadership Institute have experienced her guidance firsthand, developing the relationships, skills, and confidence to lead with purpose.

Heather is one of those rare people who makes everyone in the room feel seen and then challenges them to grow. Her ability to bring people together, cultivate leadership, and build meaningful connections has left a lasting mark on San Diego’s Jewish community.

Heather returns in a focused capacity as Senior Director of Leadership & Belonging, dedicated to the two areas that have defined her career and sit at the very heart of our mission. Building a thriving and welcoming Jewish community is not something we accomplish once and finish. It is ongoing work that requires us to invest in leaders, strengthen relationships, and create spaces where every person feels they belong. Heather understands that deeply.

Her return feels especially meaningful at this moment. As our community navigates both challenges and opportunities, we need leaders who can help people connect, grow, and find their place within Jewish life. Heather brings not only extraordinary expertise, but also a deep love for this community and a genuine belief in its future.
