As part of the 2025 Mainly Mozart All-Star Orchestra Festival, internationally acclaimed violinist Noah Bendix-Balgley—First Concertmaster of the Berliner Philharmoniker—will perform his own composition, Fidl-Fantazye: A Klezmer Concerto, on Thursday, June 26 at The Conrad in La Jolla. This performance brings Noah’s personal heritage and deep connection to Jewish musical tradition center stage, in a powerful fusion of classical technique and soulful Klezmer spirit.

Bendix-Balgley, who grew up steeped in Klezmer music, composed Fidl-Fantazye as a heartfelt homage to that tradition. The piece weaves expressive melodies, improvisatory flourishes, and lively rhythms reminiscent of Eastern European Jewish celebrations—transcending time and geography while honoring cultural roots.
