Origin - The internationally
recognized Lion of Judah was established in 1972 to honor 16 women who
pledged $5,000 or more to the Miami Annual Campaign. Today as a Lion of Judah,
you join more than 16,000 women in the fastest growing philanthropic arm in
Federation history.
Tzedakah Is a Mitzvah
As a woman who supports Federation’s Annual Campaign, you understand the importance of making a philanthropic gift in your own name. Your generous annual gift enables you to stand as a Lion of Judah – committed to the Jewish people and tikkun olam (repairing the world). You embody strength and courage and are a role model for others.
Lions are recognized for their philanthropy by inclusion in an honor roll and are invited to participate in an annual Lion of Judah event, private receptions, and several special programs throughout the year as well as the bi-annual International Lion of Judah Conference.
